To One Amazing Momma!

I've got to take a moment to tell the world what an amazing Mom Lindsey Wheeler is! All this waiting...all this praying...all this hanging on...all this longing and aching and blogging has only proven one thing- Lindsey is one fierce Momma! She has what it takes!

This is her 1st Mother's Day to be a Mom, and I'm so proud of her! She is so strong, so courageous, so compassionate and so willing to sacrifice whatever it takes for her baby girl! I am loving watching her "nest" as she sets up Eliana's room, and gets the house ready! By the way get your cameras ready because I can already tell Eliana will be one of the best dressed kids at the playground! Lindsey has found some of the most "To Die For" (or TDF as she would say) outfits that you can imagine!

Lindsey, Thank you for setting such an incredible example for our little girl of what a Godly woman is. Thank you for your Faith and Hope...and for letting me borrow yours when mine gets weak. Thank you for fighting for our Eliana. Thank you for just being you! I'm so excited to take this adventure of parenting right alongside you!

I love you with all my heart!
Love,
Chris

Two years ago I spent Mother's Day separated from my son. I had never held this little boy and I had no idea when he would come home. I did not need genetics nor did I need to hold him in the flesh for him to be a part of me. My love for him was as strong and real as my love for our daughter that grew inside my womb.

I pray that God will bless you today as you prepare for your daughter's arrival. It is obvious that she is loved and that God has placed her in a very special family. The wait is difficult but the journey is eternal.

Happy Mother's Day!

Sometime while you commented on my Myanmar post, I posted about my Mother's Day and it included "Junk Posse!" (so if you didn't read that post, please check it out) It is a necklace I will truly treasure for the rest of my life!

oh, and you are so right. It is a broken, fallen world. Gets pretty obvious when this stuff is brought to our attention isn't it.

I'll pray for the children in the village in Sudan. Thanks for telling me.

What a sweet post, your sweet baby will be so lucky to come home to a house so full of love...for her, for each other and most importantly for the Lord.

I hope you had a wonderful mothers day, I know how hard it can be when half your heart is in another country.

God Bless.

Lindsey and Chris,

Thank you for the great picture of Eliana in the pretty Gautemala picture frame. I am looking forward to taking my own pictures of Eliana to put into the Grandmother's photo album. I am looking forward to fixing the Guat. hot chocolate, I'm sure it is yummy. Thanks for the call too!
Love, Mary Helen/Momma
