- We have only been married 6 years, but this one thing we know...we want our lives to make a difference for the Kingdom of God in the country of Guatemala. We love so many of this country's precious children, and by the grace of God we were given the incredible gift of adopting one of them! Her name is Eliana Hope Wheeler...and this is her story (along with our journey on the long road called adoption)! The story doesn't end here....God is calling us to more. Thank you for joining with us....for praying for us....and for loving these kids!! We are so grateful for each of you.

Dear Chris and Lindsey,
We received the gift you sent to our family on Christmas Eve. I cannot even begin to tell you how much we LOVE the memory box. It couldn't have come at a better time. Just the night before I was contemplating whether to hang the sympathy cards, in the same way we hung our Christmas cards. We just don't know what's "etiquettely correct." We've never lost a child or have experienced death so close to us.
All I know is that I wanted to celebrate Josi's life this Christmas with our family and friends, and I wasn't quite sure how to do it. Only my husband, Shay, and I had the priviledge to know and meet our daughter. Well, the box you sent was literally an answer to my prayers. It was a centerpiece at our table. Inside, was your beautiful note along with photos of Josi and the cards of all who were praying for us.
It is a beautiful gift that each one in our family will cherish forever.
