I missed the cobblestone streets....

Chris and I are safe in Antigua....and are loving it. I don't think I really realized how much I actually missed this place. I feel so alive here already. Pray for our time with these teens....and for Chris as he speaks. I will update soon.

Love y'all,
Lindsey

For us, it is a home away from home. I miss it too.

Enjoy your time. I went 3 times in 4 months and it seems odd not to have a trip planned! I can't wait to hear all about your time there....OH! Y'all will be honeymooning too! LOL!

Oh how awesome. I miss it soooo much. It seems so strange after we had been there 7 times in 2 years and now really want to go back sooooo much. Hubby is too concerned about safety and hoping things are better so we can take the girls next year or so and LOVE our foster families sooooo much! Can't wait to hear more about your trip!

It is crazy how it feels to go back without the pressure/uncertainty of the adoption. Have an awesome time! Go by Cookies etc. (green building on the corner of 4th) and eat a cookie for me :)

I miss Guatemala. I don't miss the craziness of the adoption madness but I do miss the area...the people...the simplicity...the food. Yummy! Take pictures!

I fostered in Antigua about two years ago for three months and ran across your blog then. You have a beautiful family! I've followed you ever since.

We are heading to Guatemala in the Fall for two weeks. Although we haven't announced it on our blog yet, we would love to start an orphanage in Guatemala someday. I just haven't been the same since having my eyes opened during my short stay in Antigua. So glad you are back "home" for many of us. Have a great trip!

I can't remember if I've "come out" yet on your blog or not so IF I haven't here it is. :) Hola!!!! I've been following your blog for quite sometime now. I prayed when sweet Eliana was sick in Guatemala and prayed for you while you were down there. Yes, I even cried when you got OUT of PGN!!!
We too have been blessed with our own little piece of Guatemalan heaven. We brought home our sweet prince in Oct. '07 and I have NEVER been the same since. Actually, 2 years ago today I was blessed with a 2nd visit trip. This one lasted for 3 glorious weeks. Oh, how I remember roaming the streets of Antigua, eating the food, enjoying the beautiful people and taking in my son's wonderful culture.
Sorry, I didn't mean to go on and on but, just wanted to let you know that my heart too soars for that beautiful place. Oh, while your there my top places to eat was of course Pollo Campero (my girls LOVED it too), Frida's and for ice cream oh my goodness Sarita's. I can taste it all now. I'm not sure if you will be looking for a church there but we LOVED Iglesia del Camino (it's on 1st Ave. Norte).
Have a great time and take tons of pics. Ooops and btw your sweet Eliana is beautiful.
God Bless,
Kelly

Love all the pictures from the birthday party! I was also excited to read that you are back in Guatemala for the Brio mission trip. We have four friends there with you! I can't wait to hear about the whole trip.
We have not had any progress on Caterin's case. Cindy is doing well and adjusting to her new life and family. http://web.me.com/dorseyco
Keeping you in my prayers!
