A BIG THANK YOU!!!!

I wanted to give a quick update on the story behind our plane tickets! My sister is a nanny to one of the greatest little girls of all time....named Annalise. She really is like part of our family...we love her so much!! Her dad heard that we were going on this trip....and told Lauren he wanted to pay for my mom's plane ticket!!!!! Thank you so much Jeff....it means the world to us. What a gift you gave to us!

Then, we were able to use my dad's frequent flyer miles....let me tell you (for those of you that don't have frequent flyer miles)...it has to be a MIRACLE to actually use them)!! I spent a few hours on the phone back and forth between Delta and AMEX...and IT WORKED!! THANK YOU SO MUCH DAD!!!! We couldn't have gone without these.

So, LET THE COUNTDOWN CONTINUE........19 DAYS!!!!!!!!!!!! I already cried last night thinking about having to say goodbye. Yikes....I need to focus on the positive....we will be there soon sweet baby!!

Love you all,
Lindsey

P.S. HAPPY 8 MONTHS SWEET GIRL!!!!!!

Lindsey...I just had to say goodbye to Malaena 2 weeks ago. The positive side to that was it was the LAST time. Next time I see her, she will be ours forever. Silver lining to every cloud. Focus on the time with her cause today you are one day closer to having her home FOREVER! Yippee! Cheri

FYI
Next time you need to use those frequent flyer miles, they change on a weekly if not daily basis on how many the airline requires, at least with Continental. When I used mine to go on our honeymoon to Kauai, I called and was told 45,000, 75,000, 70,000, and finally 52,000 on different days. Its like playing the stock market I guess?

We are excited for you guys and can't wait for Oaklee to meet the Wheelers.

Letting them go is always the toughtest part.

God works. He knows what we need, when we need it, and when we can't go on any longer without it.

Can't wait to see you with her again. AND, your Mom gets to meet her. How wonderful.

So glad everything worked out! We were at Target again filling the cart with all kinds of goodies for our trip! Anyway we can make our days go faster other than trying to sleep all day?!?!?
Love,
Deanna

I always started dreading leaving long before we even got there (and you should have seen the breakdowns I had in the lobby on good-bye days). It is so hard to let them go, but spending this precious time with them is a blessing. One day, you won't have to leave her again. For now, just enjoy every second you have to spend with her knowing that she will be home soon.

That's such awesome news, Lindsey! God indeed is very good. :) Definitely focus on the positive. It's so very hard to leave them behind, but enjoy your time there. You will never ever regret visiting regardless of how many times you go. This time is ultimately precious and irreplaceable. ((((HUGS))))

Oh, my heart already hurts for you when you leave. I remember oh so well in both adoptions the good-byes on visit trips. In fact, on our second one to visit Maria (she was almost 2 at the time), she cried when we left...I still cannot watch that video. Too emotional. But it is worth every second to have those pictures, have those memories...and hopefully soon you will go back to bring her home!
