A couple more quick shots...

Last night Madi (Melissa's little doll) HAD to get in that pool...it was chilly but we had a blast!

This is another shot of that crazy good mood Eliana got in with us last night!

We'll post more after dinner...
We're getting sad to even think about leaving. Time here seems to be so elastic. One day feels like 3, but a trip over a few days goes by in a blink!

Pray for our hearts as they're slowly getting heavy. We're just making the most of every second with this unbelievable baby girl!

Hi!

I found your blog through The Heinrich's blog.

We are the "family from the hall" (!!)...

We met the Heinrich's on their first visit trip to Auri while we were in the last month of fostering our baby girl (with our four boys!).

We LOVE LOVE LOVE Melissa and Madi too!!!!

Melissa was our facilitator for Aven's adoption.

When we were living in Antigua, we went to church w/Melissa and Madi...

I miss them AND Antigua! Isn't that place amazing!!!

And the restaurant you ate in w/Melissa is one of our ALL TIME favorites...

We knew the waitstaff by the time our Antigua adventure was over! (this was last Sept to Dec...then a month in the Grand Tikal in Guat Cit)

Okay...I'm rambling! I just made my heart leap to see Melissa and Madi and to see your gorgeous pictures.

Your daughter is absolutely beautiful and what a MIGHTY work the Lord has done!!!

Now I'll be praying Auri AND Eliana home asap!!!

Blessings on your journey,
Andrea

I must post again (Yes, I am this annoying IRL too! giggle)

I just reviewed the elliedub sight (completely cool)...

and realized you, too, have lost your first Guat. love....

We were not able to bring our first Guat love, "Story Noelle", home either.

It is something I document on my blog..and of which still frequently brings me to tears.

God has used bad for good though...in many ways....but it still aches and hurts.

It was a year ago last week that we were told our "Story" was unadoptable.

Aven, our new daughter, has sewn our hearts back together...but they are now in a different pattern and shape because of the impact and love we had for Story.

My precious husband just reminded me today that "God has Story...She's okay sweetie"...

But oh - just to hold her once.

She is so precious. I love seeing all of the pictures! And she looks SO happy being with you! My heart is already sad for you when you have to leave. I know, I have done it a few times, and it doesn't get any easier. It hurts...a lot. And I cried off and on the whole plane ride home and even after I got home. But I can tell you that He will wipe away the tears and one day (hopefully soon), when she is placed in your arms forever, the wait doesn't seem as painful.

I love seeing the three of you together!! Their is PURE JOY on each of your faces! Eliana is absolutely a doll!

Lord, please make time CREEP so the Wheeler family can make a few more priceless memories together. God wrap your MIGHTY arms of love around Chris, Lindsey, and Eliana and hold them until you bring them together forever. Please let that be very soon Lord!

Just want you to know I am still praying (and telling Lauren every time she talks about you guys) that you will get Eliana before August. I know that still seems far away, but we can rest in knowing you Sweet Girl IS coming home soon.
