Here's the story......

Rewind to Friday night....Chris and I decided at the very last minute to drive to Atlanta to buy his Jeep!! So, after working all week....we make it to Atlanta by about 12 or 1 in the morning. On a fun note....I LOVE priceline.com. I called my sis to priceline it for us....and we ended up with the Hyatt for $40. We got there...and the lady was so nice....oh, and she upgraded us to the penthouse suite. Yep, it was the NICEST hotel room we have ever been in.....and we were there for 7 hours (including sleep)! We wake up the next morning after sleeping 4 hours....and head to the car dealership. THE CAR IS INCREDIBLE!!! I will get Chris to tell you about it later; he is pretty proud of it!!!

It literally looks like no one has ever sat in the back seat EVER and it is a 2000 model. It is a HUGE GIFT from God!!! We paid our cash for it (from the wreck)...and headed back 4 hours to Nashville. Another side note, I love clothes and design. The night before I threw an outfit for work in my bag and forgot my shoes. It looked ridiculous. A black skirt....and cool shirt.....with BROWN flats........ON THE DAY I MET NICOLE KIDMAN!!

So, I drive into work EXHAUSTED!!!! Then, about an hour later, the door opens and I always look to say "hi" to the person. There is no telling what my facial expression was because I knew instantly it was Nicole. I started praying in my head over and over to not act like an idiot (I have been known to do that with celebrities...I will tell you about the Wynona Judd story some day)! I calmly walk over to her and start asking her what she is looking for. My hands are literally shaking. I realize she is human and a normal person.....but it still felt surreal. I have watched her accept an Academy award!! She told me that she needed jeans.....I told her perfect...that was my specialty!!! So, we found her about 4 different pairs of designer jeans. Her stylist was with her....I started just grabbing clothes. She is seriously BEAUTIFUL!!! No, I did not talk to her about how Keith was or how I am so glad she is not with Tom Cruise any more....but trust me, I wanted to. I had to be professional. These were her first maternity clothes to buy.....I told my family it was my finest moment as a retail manager.

So, the story does not have a lot of details.....but I woke up today feeling like it was a funny dream. We have had "stars" come into the store before....but she is the REAL DEAL! Congrats on your baby Nicole!!! :-)

Love,
Lindsey

Wow! How exciting! I jumped over from my SIL's blog and I have been keeping up with your journey regarding Xiomara and Eliana. I will continue praying for God's will for you and those children.

We are from TN, about an hour south in the Lincoln Co./Fayetteville area. Small world huh!

That is so awesome! I'm sure you were quite the professional and fixed her up right! I can TOTALLY relate to the black skirt and brown shoes! Brown and black work together sometimes, but like I tell my friends, that's for advanced fashionistas, not fashionistas 101! :)

Lindsay and Chris,
I'm a little behind on your blog, but just spent a while catching up. I wish we could have seen each other while you were here last. Gabi and I are enjoying Antigua so much and I will be sad to leave. But she has such a faithful family waiting for her at home, so we must go!

I'm continuing to pray for Eliana and Xiomara! Your family is so lovely!

Hi there,
I have recently found your blog from being a regular reader of Andrea Cockrums blog and I really love reading yours too!! I live in Australia and when I saw this post that you actually met our Aussie Nicole Kidman I just had to comment!! How exciting!!!!!!!

And also I'm praying for you guys that your little Eliana will be home with you soon. She is just a sweetie...so gorgeous. My husband and I like yourselves are in full time ministry...he's an assistant minister at our church and we have adopted 2 gorgeous little girls 4 and 2...God has been SO kind to us. And we are hoping to adopt a 3rd child God willing!!
Anyway just wanted to say hi and that your blog is a joy to read. Thankyou!!!
God Bless,
Anna

I don't think that I would have been as calm as you were. You might just have yourself a new "regular" customer...that would be amazing!!!

That is way cool

I am stopping by because I saw in your comment on the Guatoberfest site that you are from Franklin. I know your daughter isn't home yet and I don't know if you visit adoption.com or not - but we are planning a little Guatpicnic in Franklin in a couple of weeks. It is set for May 3 at Pinkerton Park. Time is still being settled. I attended a picnic before Sabrina was home and it was kind of cool and kind of hard so I don't know if you would be interested or not but thought I would give you a heads up if you want to meet some other families who have adopted in the area.
