Still sick.....

It is hard to watch Eliana feel so awful...she gets so frustrated with the pain in her ears and her lungs. She will just hit anyone in her way or throw whatever is in her hands at the floor. Also, waking her up for breathing treatments in the middle of the night makes her ANGRY!! We have tried everything to try to distract her but nothing has helped. Thanks for all of your prayers....I know she will feel better soon. We love you all.

Love,
Lindsey

So sorry to hear that Eliana is sick! The picture does remind me of her sickness in Guatemala! It has to be a bit better this time having your hubby and a car and English speaking doctors around :). Praying she's better soon! Happy New Year!

Oh, poor baby! That picture just breaks my heart. I think this is one of the hardest parts of being a mommy...watching your little one hurt. Reminds me a little bit of God and His people when they hurt...

It is not easy on her--or you. I hope and pray she is better soon.

There is nothing worse than the feeling of knowing there is nothing we can do to make our kids feel better or take away their pain. Still praying!

She is such a sweet girl!!! It was so fun to see you and Chris at work with her. You guys are so AMAZING!! I cherish our friendship and wish we could spend more time together!!! Why is it that we have to live so far away????

I am glad that Eliana was so outgoing tonight and in a pretty good mood considering what her little body is going through.

LOVE YOU!!!

Thank goodness you are home with your poor little girl, at least its easy to get to the doctor and you can be home. IF her ears arent' perforated we always gave our kids numbing drops at the peds office I worked at. do the breathing treatment wake her up? otherwise why can't she sleep thru them? HOpe she starts feeling better soon.

I am so very sorry she isn't feeling well yet. It is sooo hard. We too are all back on antibiotics here and finally got to stop the neb treatments. Hang in there, give her big hugs for us.

Hope little Eliana is feeling better very soon. I now this must be disappointing to have her sick and especially during the holidays.

Let me tell you honestly, Lindsey, it'll take a while, but she'll get through it; I have asthma (also a breathing machine; it's actually called a nebulizer), and when I had pneumonia a few years ago, it took a LONG TIME for it to "work itself out"....

Eliana is definitely on my list of people of pray for

Poor little girl.
This is what I found with our son and having to give breathing treatments at night. I was the only one to go into his room. If my husband was with me it was too much for our little guy and he would cry to be held back and forth by us. I did not really wake him up, I had everything ready then I picked him up got comfortable on the couch and started the treatments. He woke up slowly and was in my arms (sitting up)so I think this helped. I also got together a small purse and in it I put things that he could only have when he was having treatments. One was a small doll that he liked to hold when he was having his treatment at night. I had one small night light on and no other lights. I didn't want to over stimulate him that late at night. I got alot of these tips from my ped. doctors nurse who had a son with asthma.
Hope this helps a bit.
Hugs to all
Cathie
