Still trusting...

Here we are.....smiling happily when things weren't so hectic and crazy!! Even though I love this picture of me and my cute hubby.....I can't wait until a little cute chica is in the picture with us!! What a day of celebration that will be. I'm sure that many of you are wondering if we have heard anything or wondered why we haven't updated you on sweet Xio in a while. This is what we know. The Lord is calling us into deep, hard places of faith right now. He is also drawing us into a bigger picture....one we didn't even know how to dream. The bottom line is....God has called us to adopt. We still long, hope and pray that God allow us to adopt, Xio, but we are not holding on to that hope with a closed fist. We pray, plead and beg...but we don't demand. If God has another little one for us in addition to Xio or instead of Xio...we trust Him. Blessed be the name of the Lord. He is up to something big in all this, we're hanging on tight to Him and looking forward to what this might all mean!

Your comments have been some of God's most precious gifts to us in this season.
Love,
Lindsey (and Chris too- He's sitting right here!)

Chris & Lindsey,

We are friends of Drew & Bekah Moser and we just finished the adoption of our Mayan Princess, Sofia Grace.

The Lord provided a MIRACLE to get our baby Sofia approved from PGN in June, and our family (Alan, myself & our 4-year-old daughter, Victoria) spent the month of July in Guatemala City & Antigua before returning home to Virginia.

Please know that we are on our knees for you both during this difficult time. May you sense the Lord's peace & protection in this very moment.

My Grandma always tells me, "The Lord always gives His best to those that leave the choice to Him."

So may you continue to be strengthen and encouraged as you walk in His Way, in His Word, and with His People.

Peace, Hope & Love,
Tricia

Lindsey-
I just found you through jajabs site... OH MY... I wish I had words for you that would comfort.

Ephesians 6:11-18 "PUT ON THE FULL ARMOR OF GOD"

I am on my knees for you right now... and lifting you all up to our mighty God.

PS- I live right here in Spring Hill and just brought my daughter home from Guatemala in June... my hubby grew up in Franklin and has lived here all of his life.

What a blessing to "see" with those eyes!

And a thought for you...
"Tribulation is never a noble thing; but let tribulation be what it may - exhausting, galling, fatiguing, it is not able to separate us from the love of God. Never let cares or tribulations separate you from the fact that God loves you".

He loves you.

Chris and Lindsey,
We are with you all the way! I keep
going back to the picture of Chris and Xio by the tree..she looks so tiny and vulnerable! It is such a joy to see how you both have responded to baby Xio! You two will joyfully take parenthood to a
whole new level!
Your faith makes my heart smile as I know it makes God's heart smile.
Consider Yourselves Hugely Hugged!

We say the "hang on lightly, not tightly" phrase in my accountability group a lot. It's a hard concept when it's something so close to your heart. But be encouraged, The Lord will take even greater care of those things that are your heart's desire. After all, He put them there.

Hi Lindsey -

Thank you for posting your sweet message on our blog. This blogging thing sure does connect folks, eh?

You two are just a precious couple with precious hearts for the Lord. May He give you the desires of your hearts.

While we are foster/adopting here in Texas, our hearts are in sync with yours and your love for God's wee ones. We have loved and lost in this fostering experience. It still hurts... but, the changes are lasting and ultimately our hearts are very open.

I will keep up with you, pray for you and rejoice with you when God delivers a little one into your hands.

Your friend in faith,
Laura

PS - I do know Cleburne... we live in a very tiny town further north.

I am so glad you are holding on to your hope. On my journey to my Jacob from Guatemala, I first fell deeply in love with a little boy in Honduras that I wanted to to adopt so badly. It hurt at the time when doors kept being shut, but now I know it was part of the journey to my Jacob. You will have your sweet little one in your arms. Keep the faith!

Lindsay!
So fun to see your face and hear about your life! Congrats on getting married! I'm excited about your pursuing adoption. My husband Matt and I've talked about doing that too eventually, but we've just gotten married, so we're going to wait a bit.
Anyway, I saw that you were living in Franklin, TN. I lived around there for a couple years and then in Nashville for a couple years. I LOVE that area! Anyway, this is a long note. Hope to hear from you sometime! Dara Lynn
