Drumroll please......IT'S FINALLY HERE!!!

WE CAN'T BELIEVE IT...........WE HAVE THE I-171 IN OUR HANDS!!!!! WE WILL FAX IT TO OUR AGENCY TOMORROW.

THANK YOU FOR YOUR PRAYERS!!! Honestly, I started to believe that it would never come. The second I stopped running to the mailbox everyday.....it was sent to us. Thank you Lord!

Love you all.......let the journey continue,
Lindsey

P.S. We got a message on Friday that we had been approved and that it had been overnighted to us. We were beyond excited but didn't want to announce it until it was actually in our house. It got delivered yesterday (right on time) to the wrong address! Only the mercy of God allowed us to unravel the mystery.

A friend of mine, Brandi, directed me to the elliedub website where I found the link to your blog. I read back a few entries and my eyes filled with tears of joy, love, and longing for you--one month and one day ago, our daughter, Ava Grace (now 10 months) arrived home from Guatemala. We started looking into adoption while I was pregnant with our son, Aidan (now 20 months)--Ava filled a piece of my heart I never knew was missing. We kept a public (for the most part--some entries are locked) account of our experience here: http://guatemama.livejournal.com/. In any event, I'm sending wishes for a lightning fast adoption. God bless!

Courtney :) (& Kevin, Aidan, and Ava, too!)

Congratulations! I have been checking daily hoping you would have it! I would love to hear more about how you found it at the wrong address, but Praise God for leading you to wherever it was. Adoption is an amazing experience. We have done it twice now...

Hooray! Yea God! While I was praying for God to use the tracking number to discover where
you paperwork went Dad was praying for the papers to come back to you.
We were thrilled how God did both of those things by giving Lindsey
the ability to track down the homeowner and her cell number! How
totally God-like! We are celebrating with you!

Exodus 13:17-18
"When Pharaoh let the people go, God did not lead them on the road through the Philistine country, though that was shorter. For God said, "If they face war, they might change their minds and return to Egypt." 18 So God led the people around by the desert road toward the Red Sea. [a] The Israelites went up out of Egypt armed for battle"

I read the above passage this morning and thought about how God sometimes takes us "around by the desert road" when there seems to be a shorter route. We are so excited for you and will continue to declare what God has spoken.

Thank you God!!!!!!! Praise you for your faithfulness!

When Jerry and I received our 171 we had been torn whether to even continue with Guatemala. There were so many rumors of what was to come in Guatemalan adoptions and we just didn't know if we were making the right decision. We just kept telling God, we wanted to go where HE knew our little miracle was. The day we decided to change to another program, God delivered our 171 in the mail. HE IS SO AWESOME! Just when we are ready to give up, he is there to lead us on.

We are so excited that you FINALLY completed this step closer to Eliana and Xio! Now, LET'S KEEP MOVING!!

Praying for you and Cheering you on!
Stacie
