Well, it is official.....the stomach bug is going around our house. Our roomie Kelsey was really sick all night....and Eliana and I have been struggling for two days. Pray that it will end soon!! It is the first time that I have been sick as a mom. I can't crawl in bed like I would be doing because Eliana still is all over the place. It makes me appreciate my mom SO MUCH!! I love you Kay-Kay! I can't tell you HOW MUCH I NEED your encouragement....it is a gift to me.

We are praying for you every day! I know how hard it is to be sick and still have to "go on as usu." You can do it in His strength!! I wish I were there and I would make you some soup...or give you fresca!

Well let's see....if mom were there, she'd tell you to put a washcloth on your forehead. And if you have some neosporin...just use that. She seems to think it helps with anything! Love you, sister! Wish I were there to help out with baby ellie!

Okay. No joke...
My family passed that horrid Guatemalan Funk around for the first 3 weeks we were there.
It was so sad/proud/memorable to see my little gringos puking up their insides but yet they were still so proud to be in Guatemala for their sister!
We also met a fostering momma (during our 3 month tenure there last Fall!) who took CHOCOLATE CHIP cookies to the front window of PGN with her name and case # attached to it after her son's 3rd PGN kickout!
Barrios (who was head huncho then) signed her case two weeks later.

i am so sorry you got kicked out of PGN ... I will pray for paperwork stuff to work out ... i am also sorry you are sick again ... it is hard to be sick as a mom because there really is not time to be sick when a toddler has her day planed of business ... love and hugs to you both !!!

Oh Lindsay! I've had many stomach bugs in my time...and it seems that it will go on for a while, but you will get better soon, I promise. We'll pray for quick healing for you two!
I'm so happy you can just be with Eliana right now...that is what really matters. I know you'll feel more complete with Chris with you, but you will be that much more thankful when he is with you.

Oh, dear! I'm so sorry about the "icky sickies," as we call it in our house!
We, too have fought off the "Guatemalan Funk," as my friend Andrea put it. Especially on our PU trip with our first Guatemalan adoption. Both my hubby & oldest kiddo were sick for about a week at the end of our trip & for a week after we arrived home.
On our visit trip for our second adoption, both the girls were so sick when we arrived home, I had them tested for parasites....etc. Fortunately, no one had anything REALLY NASTY!
Anyway, praying for you to feel better soon!
We were so sad to hear that both our sweet Wheeler girls have been sick! You are both in our prayers
