I absolutely LOVE you with all my heart. You amaze me every day. Your heart for the poor and the orphan is breathtaking. Your spiritual wisdom and Godly compassion are so deep. You are a gifted listener...specializing in drawing out my heart! You are without a doubt my best friend. I'd rather be with you doing nothing than with anyone else doing anything . Being your husband is the greatest privilege of my life. I was so proud of you for living in Guatemala with our baby this last year...I'm still wowed that you did that for us! Bottom line, I'm so proud to get to be your husband and that YOU are my wife!

You are such a good Momma it's ridiculous! Just watching you play with her is so much fun! My dream for Eliana is that she grow up to be just like her Momma!

We'll never forget celebrating our anniversary for the first time with Eliana at the beach!

Celebrating 5 years of marriage to my best friend!!

Chris planned a fun weekend at the beach for our 5 year anniversary.....he is the BEST!! It is so hard to believe that on Saturday, we will have been married for 5 years. I feel like he has always been in my life. He is my best friend.....there is no one I would rather walk along side with. Thank you for loving me and serving me while I have to walk through some dark days. I still can't believe you love me as much as you do....I am blown away. I love you hubby.

This trip is just what I have needed. There is something magical about the beach to me.....I feel so alive here. It was an incredible feeling watching our baby girl walk on the sand for the first time in her life. SHE LOVES IT!! She ran up and down the beach as fast as her little legs could take her....she would pick up the sand in her hands and throw it.....and tried to run straight into the waves (again, she is fearless). Then, we took her to the indoor pool.....wow, she loves to swim. Watch out Michael Phelps!

Pray for my heart this weekend.....for restoration and healing to continue. I want to live fully for Christ.....I want to be an example. I want to love well. I can't do this without the Lord.

P.S. To the incredible family in our church that let us stay in your condo......I am so thankful!! It is BEAUTIFUL!!!! We are having so much fun. :-)

Our first Valentine's Day with Eliana......

Today was so much fun!! Our day started with heart-shaped pancakes.....and Chris surprised Eliana (and me) with decorations and gifts for sweet girl!! He is an AMAZING daddy!!



The second Eliana unwrapped her gifts....I screamed. Chris got her a singing hamster....that sings "it's raining men". I'm not sure if I told y'all or not....but she got a singing squirrel for Christmas that has almost driven me insane. It was her favorite Christmas gift. Now, I have double the pain with two singing animals.


Isn't it kind of frightening....it's hair looks like Eliana's hair!!


She now plays them both at the same time.....so "I'm Getting Nothing for Christmas" and "It's Raining Men" plays non-stop. Polly the Pomeranian was scared to death.


She is BEAUTIFUL!!! We both looked at each other today and said is it possible for her to keep getting cuter and cuter. Her personality is hilarious!! (Deanna, her shirt finally fits almost a year later!)



I love her ponytails!!


This is what she is doing pretty much all day.....RUNNING!!! She now does a funny thing where she tries to tackle us. She runs super fast and hits our legs.


This child has NO FEAR.....it is scary. There are moms at the park helping their 2 and 3 year old kids across the bouncy bridge.....and she goes flying past them at full-speed!!


She wants to do everything by herself.....Miss Independent!


We love this girl!! We could not imagine a better Valentine's Day gift than her. Thank you Lord for our sweet girl. We love you all so much.....and hope you had a great day with your families.

Our little love......

So much has been going on in our lives over the last month.....so I have not really had a chance to breathe. But, I had to post some of the pics that Kelsey (one of my roomies in Guatemala) took while she was here visiting last week. Kelsey, Jenna, and Jess (two of her best friends....and now ours) came to check out Nashville and see if they want to move here after college!! The week was so good in every way. Honestly, I have really, really been struggling with depression for the last month......and God brought them to visit at the perfect time. Thank you girls for your friendship and for loving on Eliana like you did. She loved every second with you.....we love y'all.

I choose to hope in Jesus tonight.
