"Hey mom and dad, it's 4 a.m......wake up!!"

She is WIDE awake!! I'm not sure what is going on.....maybe she slept too much yesterday. I think her medicine is making her sleeping schedule crazy. She is talking up a storm. Even though we are both exhausted.....it is still so cute. For those who suggested the Baby Ergo carrier......you were right. IT IS MAGIC!!! Every time we put her in it, she is so happy and then falls asleep. It was so worth getting it. And, thank you Lord, it was delivered the day we found out she was sick. Perfect timing!

I have a lot of thoughts I will share later, but I'm afraid it would sound crazy if I tried to write at 4:30 in the morning. We love y'all so much. We feel so loved!!

Lindsey

P.S. We are pretty sure our daughter will become the next great female carpenter!!! She is obsessed with anything made out of wood. Unless there is a job that involves eating large quantities of Gerber Puffs....if so, sign her up for that!

I am so glad she is with you and feeling much better; I just saw all the posts today. I can't imagine the roller coster of emotion you have been going through. God has a plan and he is cradling you all in his loving arms right now. Enjoy these days, and I pray she gets to go home with you very soon. I think it is so great you are staying down there with her until she can come home. She needs her Mommy and Daddy.

I can't get over how cute she is!! Piper has been very sick for the last month with Salmonella and the only thing she will eat is yogurt. I was going to suggest trying that with Eliana if she is still feeling yucky. I hope you guys get some rest today!

Dear Chris and Lindsey,
She looks great! I was trying to call you guys last night at the hotel and discovered that my cell phone does not allow me to call overseas! Grr... I'm glad to see and hear that she is doing so well. Praise the Lord. I'm sure we will talk soon.
God Bless,
Lisa

She is looking super cute! I am SO glad you are able to be there with her. She will never forget this time with you both, I promise!

And take it from me-nap when she naps. It's the best advice I've ever gotten! A tired Mama is no fun.

Much love!

Welcome to parenthood! I know I don't have to tell you to try to keep your sense of humor and treasure the moments! Dane and I still can picture those middle of the night treasures - that little wide-eyed face ready to party when we're exhausted. Priceless times.

Try to take turns getting some power naps, though. You need to stay well.

Take care.

Love you,
Lainie

She is beautiful! I am so excited that you are able to be with her. I know that sometimes, medication does the opposite effect in kids and makes them hyper vs. tired. Also, speaking of medication...you might want to try and get her to eat yogurt. Another side effect of medication is a possible yeast infection. My son is getting over one on his bottom right now; not fun at all. Praying for you guys...Libby

Welcome to parenthood! It is fun though and you will look back on these times and wish you could go back in time and just treasure them for a few minutes longer. Glad to see that she is much better. We have been checking daily on her progress and yours. I am reminded by your experience to be so thankful for what God provides for me and my family and to never take it for granted, especially our little ones.

She is just adorable! I'm so glad Chris' craziness makes her happy and she slept last night! What a blessing! Being a carpenter can't be so bad, I know a pretty amazing man that was a carpenter! :)

Big hugs to you both and besos to Eliana from Bella!

Chris & Lindsey,

I came across your blog a few months ago and I have been following you guys in your journey. I am 26, single and in the process of adopting my first son. My sister and I will be at the Grand Tikal on Thursday to celebrate his first birthday with him this weekend. I am so happy that Eliana is doing much better, and yes I have had those 4:00 mornings also. This will be the 4th visit trip.
Maybe we will meet you guys!

That is great that she is doing so good! After my son has his similar episode, I had to watch and make sure he didn't sound "raspy" in his lungs. They wanted me to make sure he didn't get fluid that changed to pneumonia. Thankfully, that didn't happen. They said it takes a few days to show up, and since she looks so happy and great it looks like you guys are in the clear! Blessings to you!

Do you need another round of Gerber puffs, baby goldfish or cheerios? I am bringing a ton for my son, so let me know if you need anything..
email me at: tlc2senior@aol.com

I will call you Thursday afternoon when we get to the hotel, and party time is 11:30 on Friday by the pool. Come enjoy some cake and pizza with us!

Lindsey,
Bless your hearts!! What a terrifying experience to fear for your daughter from so far away. You are blessed beyond measure that you were able to make it to her side. And she is coming home so soon. You never have to be without her again. YOu continue to be in our prayers.

I'll always be sorry that we didn't get to meet in Antigua.

Love,
Amanda and Gabi
