26 Days.....and counting!!!!

We are going to see our baby girl at the end of March! Be praying for us as we plan....pray for cheap plane tickets....and for our hearts as we prepare. I am so excited; I can hardly stand it. 3 of our good friends are going to be going down at the same time (and we didn't even plan it that way)!!

It's a match!

We just got word that Eliana's DNA test was a match! We are so excited! This is the kind of news that just makes a new Daddy's day! Hip Hip Hooray!

Some favorites from GOG!!!

Chris is a natural up on stage!! The Lord used him in mighty ways at the Girls of Grace conference. He was able to speak to the girls as a big brother....I was so proud of him. He was able to share the difference between boys and men....and to encourage the girls to wait until God sends them a man...it was powerful! By the way, there were over 200 churches and 15,000 girls that were a part of this event (via satellite)!!!!

We got to meet an amazing girl named Jana! Her mom and her drove all the way from Louisiana to see the conference. What an encouragement they were to us! She was adopted...and her sweet mom kept telling us what a huge blessing adoption is...and that this is what we have to look forward to with Eliana. I could have just cried. Thank you for your prayers. It was so good to meet you both!!


Chris and I met working at a church in Cleburne, Texas....we were so surprised to see some of our friends from the church! We love y'all!!!

DNA!!!

Just wanted to write a quick update.....Eliana is finally authorized for DNA!!! Pray for things to go smoothly, and also pray for her biological mom. I can't imagine how hard it must be to come and see the child you gave birth to....and then have to leave her again. My heart hurts for her! Praise the Lord we are moving forward!!

Something that you probably don't know about me is I love reality t.v. (I realize that some of you won't like me anymore)....but I do!! I loved Chris on American Idol...but unfortunately he was kicked off. I can't wait to meet him. Chris and I love getting pictures with "stars"....I'll have to tell you some funny stories sometime. So, there you have it....my sister just called to tell me about this and I had to tell y'all about it (we didn't even know)! Last year when Chris was speaking at Girls of Grace we met Kayne from Project Runway. I ran up and gave him a big hug (I know, awkward).

Some of the people and things that I love....Happy Valentine's Day!

Much needed support!

The last 3 weeks have been extremely hard on me emotionally. I have felt so low....just super exhausted in every way. I just wanted to thank my mom and sisters for always being such a constant support to me. I couldn't do this without y'all!! I love you each so much. I can't wait until you get to meet and hold your granddaughter and niece!! I love you.

I really think we have the happiest girl in the world! Look are her....she is beaming in every picture. But, once again, I am cracking up at her headband (that probably would fit my head)! We knew the moment we met her that she was a Mayan diva....like her momma (clothes are kind of my weakness)!! One of my blogger friends gave me an awesome suggestion....I am going to buy Eliana one of Tracy's Guatemala necklaces to give to her when she is old enough to wear it.

I AM SO, SO EXCITED TO FINALLY TELL Y'ALL ABOUT THE MOST AMAZING WOMAN.....Tracy from Junk Posse (the name of her incredible jewelry line)!!!! Tracy has the most amazing heart. In her own words.....here is why she does what she does:

A big day for a little girl!

I'm sitting at a coffee shop working on upcoming talks I'll be giving and right now all I can think about is the Birthday Girl! (So I had to make a quick shout out) Today is her 7 Month "Bir-Day." Happy Day to ya baby girl! I miss you and I can't wait till you can read how much has already been written about your precious little life! You've got no idea how many people are praying for you! And get ready...because when you come home the paparazzi are going to be on high alert! You thought America went crazy when the Beckhams came over...you ain't seen nothing yet!

Central Authority

Hip Hip Hooray!!! We were told yesterday that Eliana is now registered with Central Authority. We have a long road ahead.....but I am excited for this glimmer of hope!!

Thank you Lord for protecting Chris!!!

Tonight, Chris was headed to a Super Bowl party at the church.....and I got a call from him soon after he left. He was very shaken up! A deer had walked out into the road. He tried not to hit it and slammed into a huge brick and stone mailbox (while hitting the deer too). His car is a crazy messed up.....BUT I DON'T CARE!!! The phone call freaked me out. All I could do was hit my knees and thank the Lord for protecting him. He could have been seriously hurt.....and the Lord had mercy on us. The Lord used the huge mailbox to prevent Chris's car from heading into a steep ditch. Thank you Lord. It is times like tonight that remind you of what's important!!

I love you Chris! You are my best friend. I can't imagine life without you.

I thought this would make y'all laugh! Our entire community group loves LOST!! We had a party last night for the season premiere.....Chris and I were Clarie and Charlie. Scott and Amelia were Alex and Hurley! WE HAD A BLAST!!!
