DNA!!!

Just wanted to write a quick update.....Eliana is finally authorized for DNA!!! Pray for things to go smoothly, and also pray for her biological mom. I can't imagine how hard it must be to come and see the child you gave birth to....and then have to leave her again. My heart hurts for her! Praise the Lord we are moving forward!!

Love y'all,
Lindsey

Wheeler Family,
I know you don't know me, but I follow your blog regularly. I found you through the Moser's. We live in the same town as them.
We just brought our daugher Elena home at the end of November, and I remember my feelings I had with her first DNA test, and still have. What strength it took for her birth mother to go in and have this test after her birth and hold her child again; very difficult. What I have discovered in Elena is that she is very strong willed, and I have written down for Elena to read some day that I am sure her strength is like her birth mother's and I pray that she will turn that strength into good for God when she is older. God brought Elena into this world for our family; I know that, and he has brought Eliana into your family through her birth mother so she can be raised with you in his wonderful word. As sad and heartbreaking as it is, it is also so brave and wonderful. Your family is in my prayers. I would love to e-mail you a pic of our little Elena if you like. You can reach me at cstamm@fultoncountyoh.com ...I have not yet joined the blogging world.
Blessings,
Carrie

Wonderful news! I treasure the words our birth mom left for her/our daughter. The brought me to tears. I still wish there was a way I could express to her how thankful we are for her gift to us.

Wonderful news for you! That is a big step. It does make my heart hurt for the birthmom...be prepared for the picture you will get with the results...it just makes things so much more real to you. It is such an incredible experience but filled with SO many emotions.

DNA spelled differently is DAN!!!

So glad to hear that DNA is being done!!

It is exciting and sad when things like this happen. Mixed feelings are a part of being an adoptive parent. I'll be praying for her birth mother.

We have a very sweet picture of Jadon and his birth mother when his DNA was taken. We will cherish it forever.

Hey Lindsey,
You don't know me...but our husbands know each other. We will be traveling to Guate in about 3 weeks. I would love to tell you more about my heart but know that it's too much to leave on a "comment" for your blog.

I was curious to know if you have a way to contact Melissa Scott in Antigua? We will be spending the majority of our trip there and I would love to meet her.

Please know I visit your blog regularly and pray for your sweet Eliana. She is so beautiful!!!

I'd love to meet y'all too...it seems we have similiar "loves".

Facebook or Myspace: Kristin Vanzant for contact info.

Blessings,
Kristin

Hi Lindsey,
I'm a friend of Amy Rankin. She told me about you and sent me to your website. We adopted from Guatemala 10 years ago. Our son was one of the first to have DNA testing before we could bring him home. You are in my prayers!
