Pretty tired but right where she needs to be...

What in the world would I do without skype?!?!?! I think it is pretty amazing!!! I just talked with Lindsey, and they are in their AMAZING hotel room (THANKS LOU!!!) with their baby girl!!!!! She was released from the hospital this morning, so the facilitator just brought her to the hotel. She will never have to leave them again, which makes me SO thrilled!!! She is sleeping on Lindsey right now while Chris goes to get her medication. From what I saw, she really looked great...not sick at all (which is a relief!). Lindsey said she felt heavier than last time, so she doesn't think she's lost too much weight. Once they can figure out the internet, I'm sure they will post something... but for now, I just wanted y'all to know that Eliana is safe in her mommy and daddy's arms! Thank you for your continued prayers and encouragement!!!

Lauren

Also...to answer a question I saw on the comments, Lindsey will be staying in Guatemala until Eliana comes home. It just didn't make sense for her to come home for a week and then go back. Chris will be there until Saturday, and we are trying to figure out a way to get "Kay Kay" (our mom) down there for the second week. Hopefully it will all work out!!!

With all my heart, we Praise the Lord,
And with all that we are, we Praise His Holy Name.
With all our heart, we Praise the Lord,
and we will never forget how kind he has been.
His kindness and love are a crown on our heads.
Each day that we live, He provides for our needs
and gives us the strength of a young eagle.
For all who are mistreated, the Lord brings justice.
You oh Lord are merciful, kind and patient,
your love never fails.
How Great is our God!
You are kind to all who worship you,
You keep your promises to those who faithfully obey you
All of you who serve and obey God,
come and Praise your Lord!
With all our hearts,
We PRAISE the Lord!

Thank-you, Lord!!

As one of the previous comments stated, there is nothing like the feeling of knowing the kiddos are never going to have to leave your arms again!!!

Do they know yet what made her so sick?

I could just cry. :) We've prayed so hard for this baby and her parents (and I was SO hoping Lindsay would be able to just stay). Not exactly the way they would wish things, but it's one week longer with her sweetie pie. SO GLAD to hear they are all tucked in safe and sound.

Now praying God brings them all home very soon.

PRAISE GOD! PRAISE GOD! PRAISE GOD! PRAISE GOD!

a huge .... phew .... from our family to yours.

Having gone to foster our daughter last Fall...we know the SWEET and AMAZING relief to KNOW she'll be your arms forever...no more cross country goodbyes...

It's pure HEAVEN.

Lindsey - You'll love fostering...It's kinda like the 'nursing a newborn' stage in some Guat adoptions...

It takes awhile to figure it all out but then it's great....

We were in the Tikal for 32 days (...with our FIVE kids!!) this December ... this was on the tail end of our fostering adventure...

The Tikal is ABSOLUTELY wonderful. Here are some hints:

Giovanni, one of the best bell boys there!, will help you with ANYTHING. Translation, taxi, food, fellowship! So will Benjamin.

The "gnocchi" dinner at in the 2nd floor restaurant ROCKS and baby girl might like it too.

The chicken w/cream sauce is absolutely wonderful too!

The mall to the right of the Tikal (NOT the one underneath it) is wonderful w/a food court, good coffee, etc. "Miraflores" is it's name.

The Zoo, The Children's Museum..the Handicraft Market...ALL great and safe couple hour excursions.

IF your Mom can't come, don't fret.

You are competely safe at the Tikal...truly.

I visited our daughter (before we fostered) and was at the Tikal twice by myself for over a week.

No problems..and with Skype, I could call home as often as I wanted so I didn't feel lonely....

ENJOY THIS JOURNEY...This journey is something that has and will transform your family and you'll never be the same!

Lindsey and Chris, Thanking God that your sweet baby girl is okay! So thankful that you can be there with her too. God is amazing. We will continue praying for your sweet family. I have a question for you regarding my mother in law. She has not been well, but would like to strive to get better and strong enough to take a trip to Africa to help aids orphans. Do you or anyone reading this know any ministries in south africa that I could research while she is getting better? She needs this to look forward to.
Thank you so much!
