Volcan de Fuego!

Isn't this amazing?! We woke up in Antigua the first morning....and mom looked out the window and said "the volcano is erupting." We laughed and thought she was joking! But, she wasn't. Chris almost broke his leg jumping over things trying to find the camera to take pictures. I wish you could have seen him.....hilarious!

That is an amazing picture!!!! And just so Chris knows he is not the only one who jumps over things to see a Guatemalan Volcano. Our first trip there, we were on the plane in the center of course and I was nearly breaking my neck trying to see the volcano out the window as we began our decent into Guatemala. I thnk the guy sitting next to me in the row by the window thought I was going to fall over in his lap so I could see. He was a Guatemalan native and was laughing and said here swap seats with me so you can see better. So technically I guess I jumped over two seats and people so I could see them....and they weren't even erupting then!!!

I've been to Antigua!!! I spent a semester abroad in college in Costa Rica... I traveled to Guatemala City, Antigua and Tikal during my semester! Pretty amazing that you got to see the volcano erupting!

On our first visit trip to visit our daughter who was in a Hogar in Antigua, our flight was cancelled due to Fuego erupting! When we finally arrived the next day, we kept hearing it boom and saw the smoke. We asked people about it and they would just say it happens like it was no big deal! Anyway, glad you are home safely though I know it is not the same without your little one.
