Best Brownie EVER!!!

I know I haven't posted much since I've been in Guatemala....it is because our sweet Eliana does not require very much sleep.....and LOVES to play with momma. Today is Guatemala's Independence day.....and I just had the best brownie ever. My roomies introduced me to a "new" restaurant in Antigua. It is a good thing I did not know about it sooner.....or I would be 1,000 pounds. If you are ever in Guat, you have to go to La Pena and order it!!

Now, we are just waiting for Eliana's DNA to be delivered to the Embassy this week....and then we should know soon after when we are coming home!! I can't believe I am even typing those words. This weekend has felt like 2 weeks long....probably because I am so anxious to hear something. Thanks for getting so excited with us!!

We love y'all!!
Lindsey

My favorite restaurant, I know it well and love, love, love the brownie! I have been to Antigua 6 times and stayed for 1 month in December 2007. We are waiting on our 2nd DNA to return to the US Embassy as well, so we can bring home our 27 month old daughter Ana Grace. My husband and I live in Charleston, SC and have prayed for your daughter Eliana.

I am so happy for you gals! We have been praying for the same miracle that you are experiencing! I feel like I kinda know since we have friends that live in your area-Jeremy and Adrien Camp. I continue to lift you and Eliana up to Jesus and may He give her wonderful health for the rest of your stay in Antigua.

It may have been a good brownie, but there's no way it compared to the "secret" recipe from G.

Wow...I know its so hard to wait when you can't see the end in sight, but isn't it so much sweeter when it comes? This verse struck me the other day, "Since ancient times no one has heard,no ear has perceived,no eye has seen any God besides you,who acts on behalf of those who wait for him."
Its the hardest part of the journey to trust and to wait, but God is for us in the whole process! Powerful. Beautiful. I'm so happy that you guys see the end in sight...Whew- I know its been a long journey, and you will look back and KNOW the Lord deeper and fuller and know His faithfulness like never before.
Its about time!! ;)
Much joy and can't wait to see you two! (and three together!)

I have eaten at La Pena del Sol... just a few weeks ago AND I had the brownie. You are right. We also were blessed to meet a few of the children there and hear about their stories. I continue to pray for Erik! ~Emily Wolfe
