She does have a look that will just melt your heart.
I am praying that God is preparing her for this time just as He is preparing both of you. That may sound funny but I want all of you to be 100% comfortable with one another and that everything goes so smoothly so you can make the most of your time.
Give that sweet little face kisses from me!!!!
I Love You Guys!!!!

Lindsey, I posted this on my blog in response to your comment, but wanted to post it here too to be sure we connected.

Lindsey, that just breaks my heart! I acquired the Chronic Fatigue Immune Dysfunction Syndrome and Fibromyalgia (combined with IBS and neurally mediated hypotension, which is common) when I was 10 1/2. That was 18 years ago this month, so I have seen and tried a lot!

Here is a link describing myshot, which is called the Meyer's Cocktail (been around I guess since the 70s):

http://www.diagnose-me.com/treat/T16780.html

Intravenous treatments are actually pretty common for these illness, but this is actually my first one.

But I strongly suggest you read From Fatigue to Fantastic (it's on Amazon.com). I'm reading it right now. Do you have a specialist? The woman that helped me the most is Dr. Ferre Akbarpour from the Orange County Immune Institute (http://drferre.com). I think the best approach to CFIDS/FMS is a holistic one -- medication if needed and natural supplements.

You need to be seen by a doctor that will test for all your deficiencies (from basic vitamins, to hormone levels, to adrenal glands, etc.), and a lot of times this is only done by naturalpathy doctor, although every once in awhile you find an MD (like Akbarpour) that's the best of both worlds.

And drink lots of water. I'm learning that water actually makes a big difference. With CFIDS, your body is a bit dehydrated, which causes all sorts of problems including the aging of cells. Water is so important that the leading pediatric CFIDS specialist has been using water treatments (via IVs) for children with CFIDS for years, and if he catches them at the beginning of their illness, he can sometimes stop the progression of the illness. That amazes me. I wish I knew him when I was 10!

I'm going to try to find your email again so we can talk more!

Your sister in Christ AND Chronic Fatigue,
Kristen Borland

Lindsey!
I love the pictures- she is precious! When are you guys going? If you guys are in Antigua and bored- we'd love to meet you! Also, I speak Spanish so if there's anything I can help you with language wise, let me know.

Also- my hubby totaled his car too- I'm pretty sure that there is some spiritual warfare attached to this adoption stuff! Praise God for our precious kiddos and this journey!
